You can purchase the license for Font Creator separate from Maestro. At least we did, for our Illustrator Extreme tier.

Text disappearing when manually spacing letters

Was manually spacing letters. Normal function when spacing rightwards using Shift+Click and Dragging. Alternated to Ctrl+Click and dragging caused the letters to the left to disappear. Ctrl+Z Undo function did not resolve issue. When Ctrl+Z was pressed repeatedly to undo further backwards, the app crashed and shutdown. I'm aware that I can just delete the segment and start over, the only issue is that I already got approval for this sizing from the customer, and now they're gone and I have to hope I can guess close enough to where they won't notice the difference.

It was an Old Embroidery Font. 3D Block. I was moving the second D in DAVIDSON, and was individually spacing out the letters as I went. I know I moved the 'i' and the N on the outer edges sore sure. Anything that was a straight vertical letter I probably moved to make it look uniform. It was all on a single line. Ctrl+z didn't undo it, it remained invisible. I also sent it to my machine thinking that it was just a visualization problem, but it transferred exactly as on the canvas.

Unfortunately I deleted it, but will try to maintain those if I have anymore bug reports.

Process: Text to Segments just splits the letters

DG12 used to give me the actual segments, and not just the individual letters as whole pieces, I don't know where that changed between DG12 then and DG16 now. My goal was to delete individual stitches between the letter "i" and it's dot, that are hardcoded into the font. Every time I delete them, they just regenerate. My clients can see those stitches and they consider it a low quality embroidery. Because of that, for enough of my customers, this eliminates many fonts as options.

Oh wow! Thank you for that, this actually solved another problem/missing feature I was having since DG12. I never noticed that button pop up there.

Tool options: Bezier etc. and Tool Icon collapsing

In DGML 12, on the bottom there used to be 5-6 letters, say with Satin stich, that you would press the corresponding letter B for Bezier(?) to be able to use the tools better. With 16 I don't see them at all. Is there a way to bring them back?

Also, for other tools like the Fonts, or Machine queue tools. Is there a way to expand them permanently without having to hard press them to see the options or press the small arrow?

Edit: Ok, so I found the tool guide on the right side, but there used to be a way to just see the letters on the bottom without that whole descriptions, is that not an option anymore?

Way to tuck stitches under, in the same segment?

The triangle in the center of the 'e'. I'm trying to have it tuck under so I can go to the next segment left of it. I want the end code to be where it's at, to avoid trimming. (It's for a cap, following the bottom-to-top, center-outwards method). It's usually fine when ending at the tip/end of the 'e'. I've tried moving the start and stop symbols and the only way is to stop too far from the closest jump area.

I guess the only way to do it without some feature in the software is to break the letter itself into segments.

Fonts coming out missing stitches

I've reported this before here, but didn't have the proper file as proof. It just replicated today and here is the file. We are making a catalog page to demonstrate our font capabilities, and while copy pasting the HEARTS font above it, when we Modified Text it came out like this below. Nothing I do will fix that segment besides erasing it and restarting. I fear the file itself gets corrupted so I have to start over from the beginning, but thankfully this wasn't much, and there was no data lost in this case, but during my first report, data was lost and I had to replicate it by memory, which is not ideal. The solution given last time was to try and place the fonts in their native size based on the font catalog, but this was done on it's native size when it is first generated. No changes to size have been made.

Edit 2: I just went back and deleted the segment, and did it from scratch. Not a copy paste this time and the issue replicated. So yes, my original belief that the entire file is now corrupted seems to be true.

Edit 3: It's permanently corrupted now, I think because I saved it to provide here as proof. Prior to this it would just revert back to normal as long as I did not save it. Restarting the program did not fix it, nor did restarting my PC.

Units: View Metric and Imperial simultaneously

Ability to see both Inches AND millimeters on the bottom bar where sizes appear would be helpful. My customer base tends to vary in regards to unit system used. So constantly having to convert takes up time. Also, when using old embroidery fonts, like the ones with 5mm in the name etc. It's difficult to do with inches set as the default units, and also requires time to convert. Yes, simple conversion. Active menus: How to get them docked?

I don't know what I did to make them become popups, they were docked before but now I always have to press them to come up, and when I change a setting it goes away and I have to open it again everytime. But I don't know how to put them back. It used to always appear.
