In the "View" menu, under "Toolbars and Docking Windows", there should be checkmarks next to "Shape" and "Outline Edit". Do you have them checked there?

I would recommend either disabling the sleep mode function or increasing its interval.
Since I disabled sleep mode, I’ve had no issues with connecting the security device at all! |

Virtual Slice lags and is not optimized!

Please check the attached file. This is a small design, 13 cm wide with only 3,400 stitches, but it causes horrendous lag. This file is impossible to edit.
I’m using a computer with a 12-core processor, 32GB of RAM, and 16GB of video memory, yet this simple file cannot be processed properly by the software.
Is this issue caused by the large number of Virtual Slices in the design? Should it really work this way? How many Virtual Slices should an object have to avoid such lag? Why is it present at all?
I believe this is an optimization issue with this tool. Please fix it! I use Virtual Slice very often, and I really like this tool. |

2. The menu becomes excessively wide when right-clicking on the Angle Line tool.

I tested this design in Tajima DG versions 14, 15, and 16, and everything works fine—it can be edited without issues. In version 17, it’s impossible. Such lags are absolutely abnormal, especially on a powerful computer.
Please fix it in the next updates! |

No, that’s not correct. You can always adjust the font to your preference. Remove the connections between letters if you don’t need them—this can be done in the text settings by adding trims.
Connecting the dot in the letter i can also be fixed, but you need to break the text into segments for that.
Also, the 2028 build is already outdated; you need to update.

Neither the author nor you have clarified whether your computer’s hard drive shuts down during sleep mode. If it does, I recommend either disabling sleep mode, increasing its interval, or disabling the hard drive shutdown setting.
Keep in mind that sleep mode often disrupts the functionality of certain programs. This isn’t a temporary fix—it’s the best and most reliable solution for this situation. |

When you save a preset, it appears to be saved in the current design. However, when opening a new design or creating a new one, the saved preset is no longer available.
The same issue occurs after restarting the program - the saved preset is gone.

It looks to me that in the DG17 screenshot, Compensation is activated. However, in DG15, it is either not activated or its value is lower than in DG17. Please check this parameter.

To increase the spacing between letters, use the setting: Segments settings → Text → General → Letter spacing.
To edit each letter individually, you need to break the text into segments:
Right-click on the text object → Process → Text to Segments.
After this, in Sequence View, you will see that each letter is now separate. However, the letters i and j will still be together with their dots. You need to select the letter i or j and perform a Breakup (Ctrl + K). This will separate the dot from the main body of the letter, allowing you to move or delete it.
Unfortunately, this process cannot be done automatically.
Also, internal fonts in DG cannot be edited.
You can create a font from scratch in DG using any TrueType font with the built-in tool:
Manage → Fonts → New.
However, this feature is only available in Maestro versions of DG.

The Combine and Breakup tool are available at the Illustrator Extreme level and above.

If the Breakup tool is not available to you, I have another idea on how to move the dot above the "i." I see that the Vertex Select tool (Shortcut - N) is available to you.

Do the same steps: break the text into segments, then select the letter "i" or "j." Now, choose the Vertex Select tool (N). Use this tool to select the ENTIRE dot above the "i." Only now you are selecting not the object itself, but the nodes. So, hold down the left mouse button and select all the nodes of the dot in the letter "i." The object's node color will change from red to yellow. Using Vertex Select, you can move the entire object wherever you need.

However, with this method, you won’t be able to remove the jump stitch if there is one, meaning you won’t be able to add a trim. |
