Creating Your Own Font

I am looking to create a font using files we have digitized already, saved as DST or PXFs. According to Google, when you open Font Management you can click on "New" and start the process. Our software has "New" greyed out and we can only "Open" "Filter" "Import" and "Close". I can't figure out what "New" isn't an option or how to get around it. edited by LongsEMB on 2/23/2026

Creating your own fonts is only possible at the Maestro level.

You can purchase the license for Font Creator separate from Maestro. At least we did, for our Illustrator Extreme tier.

I'm curious how much that was to add? I am running Artist Plus, but I have one client that always uses the same 2 or 3 fonts, that do not match any of the stock keyboard fonts, so I have to digitize them each time. I do save the common words in a separate file, but there never seems to be the one I need.
