New to embroidery and DG17, trying to dive into digitizing. The webinar showed a Capped End setting that seems to be missing from my software. I have Creator, so that should not be the issue. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Tom, welcome to the DG community! The Capped End feature works only with satin stitches, so be sure to select a satin segment first. Once selected, double-click the segment and navigate to Satin > Capped Ends in the left menu. If you’re still having trouble, feel free to send us a screen recording of your process so we can take a closer look and help. 3D puff is an advanced technique that takes some practice, but the results are well worth it once you get comfortable. Thank you for sharing the photos. They confirm that the Capped Ends setting is missing from its usual location. The Satin Capped Ends tool is a relatively new feature, which may explain why it is not appearing depending on the version of DG17 you are using. To confirm, please click Help in the top navigation and select About. The version number should read Creator 17.1.1.8241. If your version number does not match, please download the latest version of DG17 here: https://cloud.tajimasoftware.com/Download Should the issue persist after updating, please let us know, and we will be happy to assist you further, including coordinating with our support team if needed. edited by Tajima Software on 9/10/2025
