 | What is wrong with Tajima Pulse DXF files ?
They are not recognized by Adobe Illustrator and neither by Design Space (Software for Cricut maker 3 cutting machine).
Is this a bug or is it something that I need to do to get it to work ?
Please find attached the DXF file that I tried with.

 Thanks

 Rich

 | It would be nice if you could read them back into the DG16 also...... The DXF works in the Brother software I use but I can't open in illustrator also. |

 | Hi Rich,
We currently support reading DXF files in Illustrator 2023 and 2022. Please find attached a DXF file. Please try to read on your illustrator system and let us know.

 Thank you

 | Hi Keri,
Thank you for your reply, yes I can open this file (Oval) in Illustrator but if I create a design in Pulse and save it as a DXF file it does not open in Illustrator.
 This is what I do:
Draw a square in Pulse as artwork and then save it as a DXF file.
I then open a new Window in Illustrator and open this file but the window in Illustrator is complitely blank.
Please find attached both the file made in Pulse and then the file saved in Illustrator.

 | Hi Again,
You can forget about the above I now realize that the above operation is wrong for DXF files, I think however that the way you are doing DXF files are stupid because you cannot use existing PXF design files instead you have to digitize it all again with the applique cutter tooll which doubles the work, why is it done like this ?

Another question, is there anyway to import a DXF or SVG file into Pulse ?

 | Hi Rich, when I get an SVG file from a customer, I import it into CorelDraw, check the nodes etc, and the size, turn everything to black outlines with no fill, and just copy and paste that into Pulse. I'm sure you could do the same in Illustrator. |

 | Hi Luebbers,
Thank you for your advice, I will try it out.

I have figured out now how to make it the other way.
What I wanted to do was taking existing PXF designs and make it to appliques and in this case I do the following:
Copy the part in the PXF file that you want to use as an applique
Open a new blank file and past it into here
Convert the file to an Art Segment
 Save As a DXF file
I then open this DXF file in Adobe Illustrator
And Convert it into a SVG file
I can now use this SVG file for a cutting machine like Cricut etc.

 | Hi Rich
We are currently in the process of testing a beta version. This beta will fix the issue where DXF files created in DG do not open in Illustrator. Once the beta is available I will send it to you.

 Thank you
 Keri
