Message from Sandro Lanchava

Hello,
We operate an embroidery studio in Brooklyn and have been loyal Tajima users for many years. As part of our pursuit of a fully networked production environment and barcode-driven workflow, we recently transitioned from Wilcom to Pulse and have begun adopting it as our primary embroidery digitizing software.
While Pulse offers many advanced features that are superior to Wilcom, there are also several fundamental workflow tools that are surprisingly absent. Most of these seem like relatively simple additions that could significantly improve the user experience.
Feature Request #1 – “Center in Hoop” Button The most noticeable omission is the lack of a dedicated “Center in Hoop” button.
It was very disappointing to discover that Pulse DG16/DG17 does not include a simple command that centers a design to X:0, Y:0, placing it directly in the center of the hoop.
I have heard many Pulse users explain that the machine will automatically center the design regardless of where it is positioned in the software, and that hoops are loaded relative to the machine’s origin point. While that may be true from a machine operation standpoint, it completely overlooks an important part of the production workflow.
At our company, we do not run a single project without creating detailed embroidery tech packs that are stored in a centralized database. When generating PDFs for production approval, training, or operator reference, it is critical that the design is visually centered within the displayed hoop.
Because Pulse lacks a “Center in Hoop” function, our team is forced to manually snap every design to 0,0 coordinates before generating documentation. This adds unnecessary steps to a task that should be completed with a single click.
The absence of this feature becomes even more noticeable when using Tajima Writer Plus and Autograph workflows.
We also provide large-scale live embroidery activations where we deploy 4, 6, or even 8 Tajima SAI machines on-site. Each machine is paired with its own computer, allowing operators to customize guest artwork and send designs directly to production.
Virtually every operator on our team has provided the same feedback:
It is difficult to understand why Pulse includes functions such as:
• Maximize Artwork in Hoop
• 1:1 View in Hoop
but does not include a simple:
• Center Artwork in Hoop
button.
This has been a standard and fundamental feature in embroidery software for many years and was an important part of our workflow throughout the last seven years.
From a production standpoint, documentation standpoint, and operator training standpoint, a one-click “Center in Hoop” function would provide substantial value while requiring what appears to be a relatively minor software enhancement.
Has this feature been considered for future releases? If not, could the development team evaluate adding it to the roadmap?
Thank you for your time and consideration.
