I am trying to achieve the recreation of a blended segment pattern as attached which I have not managed before. I have tried to follow the help but I don't think have auto blend or density effects on my level of software (Illustrator 14.1) and so get a pattern looking like the second picture. Is there anyway I can achieve what I want without upgrading. All advice appreciated.
